Frequently Asked Questions

How Much Does a Wrap Cost?

We get that question numerous times everyday. We wish we it were just as simple as knowing the year, make and model of your car but it is far from that. Getting your vehicle wrapped is a big decision and we want it to be an informed decision. All of these factors outlined above play a big part in the cost of a wrap. We want the opportunity to find out exactly what you are looking for in a wrap and explain to you what we do and what makes Cyclone Graffix different from some other wrap shops. There are so many variables that effect the price of a wrap it is not a simple "one size fits all" and it's these variables that affect the price of the wrap and all us to adjust to meet your budget.

How Long Does it Take to Wrap a Vehicle?

Again, that varies depending on the extent of the wrap. The majority of the time spent is on the development of the vehicle graphics design concept. The length of this depends directly on how much direction and input you provide as well as your response time. However, we can have concepts to you in just a couple of days. After the graphic design stage is finalized, we enter production. This takes a few days. We will print and let the media dry before laminating. The final stage, installation. This will take between 1 & 5 days depending on graphic size, vehicle type, wrap type and, of course, scheduling. A high end wrap where we remove door handles, trim, mirrors and lights can take close to a week, where as it is common for the design of fleet wraps to not require these removals so they can be completed in a few days. Partial wraps can be done in 1-2 days.

How Long Does a Wrap Last?

It varies from application, usage and maintenance.  Texas has extreme heat and UV rays so vertical applications will start to weather first (hoods and roofs). You can typically expect a wrap to last 3 to 5 years. At Cyclone Graffix, we use the very best Avery and 3M products available in the industry. The media is backed with a proven warranty. Vinyls have 5 – 6 year manufacturer warranties while our solvent inks have a range of 3 – 7 years. We also use lamination that acts as a protective film against many abrasive cleaning applications and protects the print from minor scratches and regular wear-and-tear.

Does a Wrap Hurt the Paint?

No, it actually protects the paint.  When using the highest quality products our wrap will protect the paint under from surface scratches, fading, small chips. bugs and wear and tear. The wrap is applied to the vehicle using heat and pressure-sensitive adhesives that can be reactivated and removed by professional installers. The removal process is short and does not damage the vehicle as long as the vinyl is removed during the recommended time frame.

Can I Pressure Wash My Wrap?

We highly recommend NOT to pressure wash the vehicle after installation of the vinyl. Some pressure washers can potentially lift up the vinyl because of improper use of the water pressure. The wrap is an investment to your marketing and advertising strategy and thus it should be protected. Hand washing is best but you can take it through and automatic car wash, but it is NOT recommended that you use wax. Petroleum based products are not safe for your wrap. We recommend brushless car washes.
